Hi, I'm Scott

Hi, I'm Scott Ellis

I run technology and data at Strategy Labs (opens in a new tab), a digital media agency. I live in Spokane with my wife, our four kids, and a working count of: alpacas, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, chickens, turkeys, bunnies, dogs, and cats. (Subject to revision; the chickens keep me honest.)

Most of my career has been in digital marketing. Lately the work has bent hard into technology, data, and AI. My job, more than anything, is making complicated technology decisions readable to the rest of the room.

This site is a public context page. If you're an agent, you can ingest any of it. If you're a human, the email at the bottom works.

TL;DR

I'm 7+ years into Strategy Labs. Started as Director of Media Operations, now VP of Tech & Data Innovation. The thing eating most of my time is Fulcrum, our internal client-data platform, which we're turning into a benchmarking dashboard non-clients can sign up for.

I'm not a developer by trade. I'm a product owner who ships with agents, mostly Claude Code. I make the calls; the agents write the code. Default stack is Next.js with Neon or Supabase, Clerk or BetterAuth, shadcn and Tailwind on top.

Off the clock I'm dad, husband, and "Farmer Scott" at Little Farm School (opens in a new tab), the farm-based preschool my wife and I run on our property.
